The rules for using Nestora — our property and community management platform.
Last updated: September 14, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of Nestora, including demos, onboarding, and related services from papercut technology (“papercut,” “we,” “us”). By using Nestora, you agree to these Terms. If you are accepting for a community, building, or company, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
A signed order, statement of work, or master services agreement with papercut controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
Nestora is operational software for residential communities and buildings. It may include billing and collections, a shared request engine (guests, vendors, maintenance, complaints), a vendor directory, security/guest management, and role-based dashboards. Nestora is not sold as generic self-serve software; we configure it with your team.
Nestora is not a bank, payment processor, law firm, or physical access-control system. You remain responsible for collections, lease terms, building security, and any notices you send residents.
You must provide accurate information and keep credentials confidential. Admins are responsible for who they invite and which roles they assign (admin, guard, owner, resident, and similar). You are responsible for activity under your workspace. Notify us at support@papercuttech.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
You retain rights to the data you and your users put into Nestora (units, bills, requests, guest lists, vendor records, notices, and similar). You grant papercut a limited licence to host, process, and display that data solely to provide Nestora.
You are responsible for:
You may not: reverse engineer Nestora except as the law allows; probe or disrupt the service; share logins except as we permit; use Nestora to surveil people beyond what your community rules and applicable law allow; or resell Nestora without our written consent.
Nestora may still be in development. Features shown in a demo may change before or after launch. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend access for security, legal, or non-payment reasons.
Fees, if any, are set in your order or proposal with papercut. Unpaid amounts may result in suspension. Demos are provided so you can evaluate Nestora; they do not create a right to ongoing service.
papercut and its licensors own Nestora — the software, design, and documentation. These Terms do not transfer ownership. Feedback you give us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
Nestora may rely on hosting, email, or other third-party services. Their terms apply to those components. We are not responsible for systems we do not control, including your bank or gate hardware.
NESTORA IS PROVIDED “AS IS.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PAPERCUT DISCLAIMS WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that billing totals will be error-free without your review, that a guest list is complete, or that Nestora will prevent unauthorized entry.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, papercut is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profits damages, including unpaid rent, property damage, or security incidents. Our total liability arising from Nestora will not exceed the amounts you paid us for Nestora in the twelve months before the claim (or one hundred U.S. dollars if you paid nothing). Some states do not allow certain limits; in those states our liability is limited to the maximum allowed.
You will defend and indemnify papercut against claims arising from your data, your community’s use of Nestora, disputes with residents or vendors, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
These Terms last until you stop using Nestora or we terminate access. Sections that should survive (including IP, disclaimers, liability, and indemnity) remain in effect.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New Jersey have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may seek injunctive relief anywhere.
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after the “Last updated” date means you accept the revised Terms, unless a signed agreement says otherwise.
